Building in King City.

King City is the GTA's estate belt: multi-acre properties on the moraine, long private drives, houses that are effectively small infrastructure projects, and a countryside setting the regulations exist to protect.

What building here involves.

Much of King sits on the Oak Ridges Moraine, where the conservation plan governs site coverage, vegetation and grading, and many rural lots run on private wells and septic systems that have to be designed, approved and sited alongside the house itself. Big rural builds also carry logistics town lots never see: hydro service runs, driveway culverts, construction access across land you are trying not to destroy. It is exactly the kind of build where design and construction belong under one roof.

Building in King City: what people ask.

Do you work in King City?

Yes. King City is inside our GTA practice, along with Nobleton, Aurora, Vaughan. Whole-home renovations, additions, custom homes, structural framing and decks are the core of what we do there, designed and built by one team.

Do I need a permit to renovate or add on in King City?

For structural work, additions and most substantial alterations, yes: a building permit with drawings a plans examiner can approve. Additions also answer to setbacks, coverage and height, and in older neighbourhoods a minor variance is often part of the job. We prepare and carry the applications as part of the project.

What does a renovation or addition cost in King City?

Published Toronto and GTA guides put full-home renovations at roughly $150 to $400 per square foot and additions at $350 to $700 or more per square foot, with structure, the age of the house, access and finish level moving the number. Our renovation cost guide covers the drivers; the estimate follows a site visit.

Who will I deal with on a King City project?

Emilio, the owner. He is the person you meet first, the contact while the job runs, and the one whose name is on the work when it is done.
