Renovations

A renovation is a build inside a building. The craft is making major change happen without the chaos reaching the rest of your house or your street.

The renovations worth hiring a design-build firm for are the structural ones: walls coming out, layouts rethought, houses opened up to light they never had. That work starts with knowing which walls carry load and where that load goes next, and it is engineered before it is demolished.

Old houses keep secrets. Knob-and-tube behind plaster, joists cut by past trades, framing that was never square. A renovation plan has to leave room for what the walls reveal, and the budget conversation has to be honest about that from the first meeting rather than after the drywall is down.

We run renovations the way we run new builds: a clean site each evening, one point of contact, decisions documented, and the finish work treated as the part you will look at for the next twenty years.

A first conversation costs nothing and settles a lot: whether the site can do it, whether the budget and the brief belong together, and what happens next.
